Are you tired of constantly digging through piles of clothes to find what you’re looking for in your closet? It’s time to take control of your wardrobe and organize your closet once and for all. Whether you have a small or large closet, these 10 tips will help you maximize your space and keep your clothes organized.

A cluttered closet can make getting dressed in the morning a stressful experience. But it doesn’t have to be that way! With a few simple tips, you can turn your cluttered space into a neat and organized oasis. Whether you have a tiny closet or a large walk-in, these 10 tips will help you maximize your space and make the most of your wardrobe.

  1. Declutter regularly & Purge what you don’t need
    • You can donate the things you no longer need to your local women’s shelter or sell them on places like POSH MARK.
  2. Use storage boxes and baskets
    • Sort items into categories: Group like items together, such as shoes, bags, or accessories. This will make it easier to find what you need when you need it and will also help you see exactly how much space you need for each category.
    • Use baskets for smaller items: Baskets are great for holding smaller items that might otherwise get lost in a larger space. For example, use a basket to store scarves, hats, or jewelry.
    • Label baskets for easy identification: Label your baskets with the contents, this will make it easier for you to find what you need when you need it and will also keep your closet looking neat and organized.
  1. Store items vertically: Using baskets that stack vertically, rather than taking up valuable floor space, will maximize your storage potential.
  2. Consider size and shape of baskets: Make sure the baskets you choose are the right size and shape for the items you want to store. A basket that is too big or too small will not be as effective as one that fits the items perfectly.
  3. Make the most of unused space: Use baskets to store items in otherwise unused spaces, such as the space under your bed or on top of your closet shelves.
  4. Use baskets for seasonal items: Store seasonal items, such as winter boots or summer sandals, in baskets. This will make it easier to switch items in and out of your closet as the seasons change.
  5. Install shelving and hanging rods
  1. Group similar items together
    • Color Coordinate Color Coordinate Color Coordinate
  2. Use hangers that maximize space
    • Invest in space-saving hangers, such as velvet hangers or cascading hangers, to help save space on your closet rod.
    • Use tie and belt hangers to keep your accessories organized and easily accessible.
      • These are some of my favorite
  3. Store out of season items
  1. Invest in a closet organizer system
  2. Utilize under-bed storage
